Cahuita is a typical Caribbean village, located 43 km south of the city of Limón on the Caribbean cost line. It has an area of 1067 Ha and it is one of the most beautiful natural areas of the country. White sand beaches, thousand of palms trees, a light blue sea and a coral reef make Cahuita a favourite place for nature lovers.
This fascinating little town has maintained its Caribbean identity and charm,
despite the influences of tourism and the foreign residents that have
established themselves over the years.

However intriguing Cahuita's cultural mix, by far the greatest attraction for the average tourist is its National Park, founded in 1970. This is a reserve of modest size but it contains abundant and varied wildlife.
